Prevention already means protecting yourself.
“A craftsman never has a complaints office”.
And this is not because they “never make mistakes” or because, as some might think (in “bad faith”), they are creative artists and, as such, their pieces are unique precisely because they are imperfect… accepting any irregularities.
Well… that’s not really the case!
The craftsman does not have a “complaints office” for 4 reasons:
- Does not admit mistakes, works for excellence, for work carried out “in a workmanlike manner”;
- He knows the subject very well, he knows how to “treat” it so that it can perform at the highest levels;
- His product is the maximum expression of himself, of his soul, he lives it to the point of recognizing himself in every gesture that leads to its creation;
- Knows how to ask yourself the right questions, at the right time… every doubt or perplexity is the right opportunity to reflect, decide, recover/repair, smoothen, start again and proceed.
We too are artisans in our field and we believe that it is really not clever to “pay” people to manage our own mistakes (and, consequently, future complaints from our customers).
So, what do we do?
We simply choose not to generate complaints.
Our product must be perfect because an incorrectly managed drying process or even just a 1mm discrepancy in the final measurements make the difference in preventing infections, preserving a medical device or contributing (significantly) to saving a life .
While for some “done is better than perfect”, for us the rule “done is perfect” applies.
Changing point of view helps us to better understand the scope of our company, to familiarize ourselves with the concept that we can only make a difference if we find, every day, the courage to “turn on the light and face reality”.
And reality, in fact, shows itself to be “clear and raw” and tells us that:
- Our flexible packaging “must think in 3s” because it must perfectly adhere to the needs of our MDM, resist possible “shortcomings/carelessness” in the storage supply chain and, at the same time, “be smarter” than its end user ( compensating for any “resistance”);
- During each new production line we must be good at “learning and unlearning” because each new medical device to be preserved is a new challenge to welcome, made up of new dynamics, new requests, new conditions… new materials, new opportunities to be “professionals” better” (than we were yesterday);
- Our pouches are “alive and have memory” packaging solutions, they remember and recall to the consciousness of those who use them, notions, gestures and experiences already lived and “tried” by the producers of medical devices and end users (such as, for example , un-boxing) but, above all, they evolve while maintaining (and enriching) their basic characteristics (as in the case of laminated films).
Transformation, production, customization (cutting, lamination, printing, welding) are processes which, by nature, “generate and preserve fundamental information” (such as dimensions, dispersions, temperatures, resistances, etc. etc.). and translate them into a finished product; they therefore have “memory” or, better said, “long memory“:
- It means resisting the stresses of external forces (if the material is folded, crushed or rolled) remaining totally unaltered, thus maintaining the integrity of the contents and the functionality of packaging;
- It means maintaining a reassuring appearance even after being manipulated so as to also be important in the presentation of the medical device it protects;
- It means ensuring that the closure works correctly even after repeated opening and closing (in the case of packaging such as resealable bags or zip bags);
- It means protecting the contents from external damage, such as humidity and oxygen, which can compromise its quality, thanks to its ability to remember its original shape/condition.
Ours are “living packaging”: latest generation materials and advanced technologies ensure that they are not simply passive containers but solutions capable of actively interacting with the environment and the contents to improve the conservation, safety and effectiveness of the devices that contain.
- The materials used may have properties that react to the surrounding environment to improve the preservation of the contents (active barriers);
- Our packaging can be treated with antimicrobial agents that help prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms on the surface of the pouches, helping to maintain the sterility and safety of the contents;
- Our solutions can be enriched with technology for tracking and monitoring the product along the entire distribution chain, ensuring traceability and improving product management in warehouse storage.
It has never been “the margins for the quantity produced” that have guided our vision but rather the people we can help with a certain quantity of our supplies and the medical devices that we can “welcome” and make accessible thanks to our flexible packaging solutions; this requires us to behave rigorously and punctually throughout production but, above all, it forces us to be humble and extremely practical: asking ourselves the right questions, at the right time, makes us technicians – engineers – managers – entrepreneurs… worthy of your attention and of your trust.
Everything you need… is in your hands.
P.s.
If it is our “packaging” it means that our work has reached its “most noble end”: you.
